The electrical utility contractor showed up today with a backhoe and a burly stem of cable. And what do you know, the cable is a Southwire product that contains Breen Color's YE370UV concentrate as a striper in the black jacket! One of my company's products is part of the cable that will provide electricity to my new home. I like that. I like that a lot.
Bubba got nervous when I walked up and started taking pics; he shut down the hoe and asked me, "is there a problem?" LOL. I had to explain that I am the homeowner and I take pics of EVERYTHING. He seemed mollified.
The trench is probably 2-3 feet deep.
There's that yellow stripe! Southwire produces this particular cable at their Starkville, MS plant.
