Backfilling and setting grade, part two.

Lots of progress made on Friday-Saturday, Oct 11-12.  In the next 7-10 days, the garage soil base will be tamped down, four inches of washed stone added on top, inspected, and concrete poured for the slab.  Then, our well will be drilled, and finally the front yard will be seeded/straw-covered.  We should have grass taking root by mid-November.  Framing should begin in the week of Oct 21!

From the street.

Corner of front porch; front door will be between the two crawlspace vents in the foundation.

View from front porch, looking southwest.

Crawlspace interior, which will be finish-graded and covered in 6 mil poly sheeting taped to foundation walls as a moisture barrier.

View of the garage area.

View of home from rear, looking from the garage corner toward the keeping area and the screen porch.  The shorter brick-framed area is the base of our outdoor shower!

View of rear of home; outdoor shower base to the right, screen porch piers on the left.

From the side yard adjacent the front porch, looking northwest.  There's my trusty Venza!  The utility dude was there, marking things (that's his little truck).

Garage on left, crawlspace on right.
