SheetRock and Rolls of insulation, that is. Actually, batts of insulation, but who is counting.
The drywall dude from Morrison Brothers told me they had 260 sheets of 'rock on the truck, from 48" to 54" wide by 144" long. Per-piece weights are about 54 Lbs up to 80 Lbs, depending on the product. We have some from LaFarge, CertainTeed, and National Gypsum.
French doors & transom between keeping room and screened porch are now installed (and locked!) Here they are from the porch looking in.
And from the inside looking out.
More drywall coming in through the window upstairs!
Here are some of the boxes of "mud" that the drywallers will mix up.
Time to wave bye-bye to the wiring and plumbing, as they will soon be sealed inside walls.
The insulation guys got started (sort of), but called it a day pretty early. It was New Years Eve, after all!
Knauf Insulation "Eco Batt" products will be used in the walls, crawlspace, and certain other areas. Once the ceilings are in place and sealed up, loose insulation will be blown (to R-38) into the attic spaces.
I wanted to hug it - he'll keep us warm in winter and cool in summer, and quiet year 'round! It's a very nice "green" product and I'm pleased that it'll be in our walls & floors.
You want to hug the EcoBatt, and I want to hug YOU. Your perfectionism is the rarest commodity. Love your attention to every detail.
